Propagating Roses
Because of their complicated pedigrees, roses, except the species, do not reproduce faithfully from seed. Hence they are usually propagated by budding; nevertheless the more vigorous can be rooted from cuttings. Reds and pinks are normally successful, but not yellows. They are, however, not so vigorous as when budded.
